Weijing Wu is a Chinese native. She received an LLB with honors from the University of Durham (UK) in 2012 where she studied British and European Union laws. She came to the United States to further her studies of the common law jurisprudence and received a J.D., with distinction, from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2015. Weijing became an associate at our firm in 2017.
Weijing has previously worked in the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) in Washington DC, where she worked on the incorporation of one of ACC’s overseas chapters. She returned to Iowa City when her husband, an Iowa City native, established a music business here. From January 2016 to June 2017, Weijing clerked for the Sixth Judicial District of Iowa.
Weijing’s clerkship experience has imbued her with a keen sense of client-centered counseling. She believes that the legal interests of the clients are best championed when grounded in a firm understanding of the clients’ real-life circumstances. Weijing maintains a general practice in both civil matters and criminal defense.
Weijing is licensed to practice in the State of Iowa and the State of New York.
